The collection includes a letter, 1895 April 13, from Grover Cleveland to Messrs. William T. Baker, George W. Smith, John A. Roche, T.W. Harvey, David Kelly and Henry S. Robbins (all of Chicago), declining an invitation to attend "a gathering in the interest of sound money and wholesome financial doctrine." Cleveland's letter is an extensive discussion of "safe currency" versus "silver monometallism." There are some manuscript corrections, several in Cleveland's hand. There is also a letter, 1896 December 24, from Cleveland to Henry S. Robbins. The collection also includes a letter, 1916 February 28, from Woodrow Wilson to Jacob M. Dickinson with a newsclipping enclosed. With the letter is a letter, 1929 January 26, from J. M. Dickinson, Jr. to Henry S. Robbins.
